Marc Harbrow

Yirrganydji Man, Indigenous Innovation Facilitator & Mentor

“Strong leadership grows when culture, connection and opportunity come together.”

Marc, a Yirrganydji man, is a passionate individual who commits himself to the advancement of others. Marc has had the opportunity to visit and experience a diverse range of peoples, cultures and places across the country. He has spent a wealth of time right across Far North Queensland, including Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands.

Immediately after school, Marc experienced 9 years learning the ropes of Youth Development and the power of sport, through AFL Cape York. Currently, Marc is the Co-Founding Director of Harbrow Mentoring Company, alongside his brother Jarrod.

At the age of 15, Marc was struck down with a life threatening illness, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. 9 months in hospital undergoing intense treatment, this served as a pivotal moment in Marc’s life. With a successful bone marrow transplant, matching donor being his younger brother Jarrod Harbrow, Marc is now able to share his story to help inspire others.

These experiences have shaped Marc into the person he is today.
